Fuel Heater: Service and Repair

FUEL HEATER

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel filter/water separator assembly.
2. Remove the fuel filter cap and element.







3. Remove the fuel filter heater thermostat.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Pull the thermostat out of the fuel filter/water separator housing.







4. Remove the fuel heater element.
1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. 2. Remove the screws and the fuel heater.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

WARNING: CLEAN ALL THE FUEL RESIDUE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
