Alternator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories.







3. Remove the generator bracket bolts.







4. Remove the generator mounting bolts and remove the generator.







5. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
1 Disconnect the strator and voltage regulator connectors.
2 Remove the generator B+ nut.
3 Disconnect the generator B+ cable.


INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
