Alternator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories.







3. Remove the generator bracket bolts.







4. Remove the generator bolts and the generator.







5. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
1 Disconnect the generator stator and voltage regulator connectors.
2 Remove the generator B+ cable nut and washer assembly.
3 Disconnect the generator B+ cable.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
