Alternator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories.







3. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
1 Disconnect the generator stator and voltage regulator connectors.
2 Remove the generator B+ cable nut.
3 Disconnect the generator B+ cable.







4. Remove the generator.
^ Remove the generator mounting bolts.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
