Starter Motor Solenoid Relay - Motorhome Chassis

Removal

WARNING: When carrying out maintenance on the starting system be aware that heavy gauge leads are connected directly to the battery. Make sure protective caps are in place when maintenance is complete.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.






2. Remove the five screws from the air deflector.






3. Remove the three bolts and position the degas bottle aside.






4. Remove the bolt from the air deflector and position the air deflector out of the way.






5. Disconnect the starter motor solenoid relay switch wires and cables.
1. Remove insulator caps.
2. Disconnect the starter control feed.
3. Remove the nuts.
4. Remove the cables.






6. Remove the starter motor solenoid relay switch.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the starter motor solenoid relay switch.

Installation






1. WARNING: When carrying out maintenance on the starting system be aware that heavy gauge leads are connected directly to the battery. Make sure protective caps are in place when maintenance is complete.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
