Front Fender: Service and Repair

FENDER - FRONT

Removal
1. Remove the front bumper.
2. Remove the parking lamp assembly.







3. Remove the radiator opening cover.
1. Remove the pushpins.
2. Remove the radiator opening cover.







4. Remove the stone deflector.
1. Remove the pushpin.
2. Remove the stone deflector.

5. If equipped, remove the wheel splash guard.







6. CAUTION:
- Remove the electrical connector locators from the splash shield prior to removal.
- On the RH splash shield, disconnect the vacuum lines from the vacuum storage reservoir.

Remove the splash shield.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the pushpin.
3. Remove the bolts.
4. Remove the splash shield.







7. Remove the front fender cowl side sound absorber.







8. Remove the lower front fender to rocker panel bolt.
- If equipped, remove and retain the front fender spacer(s) for installation.







9. Open the front door and remove the front fender bolt.







10. Remove the front fender to radiator support brace bolt.







11. Position the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement forward.
1. Remove the four bolts.
2. Position the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement forward.







12. If equipped, on the RH front fender, position the speed control servo aside.
1. Remove the bolt.
2. Position the speed control servo aside.







13. Remove the front fender.
1. Remove the bolts.
2. Remove the front fender.

Installation







1. Install the front fender.
- Install the bolts.







2. If equipped, on the RH front fender, install the speed control servo.
- Install the bolt.







3. Install the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement bolts.







4. Install the front fender to radiator support brace bolt.







5. Open the front door and install the front fender bolt.







6. Install the lower front fender to rocker panel bolt.
- If required, install the fender spacer(s), maximum two each side.







7. Install the front fender cowl side sound absorber.







8. NOTE:
- Install the electrical connector locators into the proper positions.
- On the RH splash shield, connect the vacuum lines to the vacuum storage reservoir.

Install the splash shield.
1. Install the bolts.
2. Install the screws
3. Install the pushpin.

9. If equipped, install the wheel splash guard.







10. Install the stone guard.
1. Install the stone guard.
2. Install the pushpin.







11. Install the radiator opening cover.
1. Position the radiator opening cover.
2. Install the pushpins.

12. Install the parking lamp assembly.
13. Install the front bumper.
