Power Mirror Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the power outside rear view mirror. For additional information, refer to Mirror-Power Exterior Rear View.
2. Push in the upper edge of the mirror glass to its maximum travel and pull outward until the mirror glass is released.







3. Remove the mirror motor screws.







4. Remove the mirror motor back cover plate.







5. Slide the rubber boot off the mirror motor.







6. Remove the mirror motor.

NOTE: Make sure to mark the locations of the electrical connectors before removal.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
^ Make sure the rubber boot is properly installed on the motor assembly prior to mirror glass installation.
^ Position the glass assembly in the mirror and push on the center of the mirror glass until it is fully seated.
