EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL.

1. Remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve tube. For additional information, refer to EGR Tube.

2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve.

3. Remove the two bolts, EGR valve and gasket.
4. Carefully clean both sealing surfaces.

NOTE: The sealing surfaces are soft metal.

INSTALLATION.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
