Torque Specifications

Cylinder Head
Install the cylinder head on the head gasket and loosely install the bolts.
^ The LH is shown; the RH is similar.

Remove the Lifting Handles.





NOTE: Be sure to tighten the bolts in three stages.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten an additional 85 - 95 degrees.
^ Stage 3: Tighten an additional 85 - 95 degrees.






Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts
Tighten to 8-12 Nm (71-106 in.lb).


Intake Manifold





Position the lower intake manifold gasket and the upper intake manifold on the intake manifold and loosely install the 10 bolts.





NOTE: Tighten the bolts in two stages.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





Install the upper intake manifold.
^ Position the upper intake manifold gaskets and the intake manifold, and loosely install the bolts.





NOTE: Be sure to tighten the bolts in two stages.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm(18 inch lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).






LH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten to 23-27 Nm (17-20 ft.lb).






RH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten to 23-27 Nm (17-20 ft.lb).
