Transaxle Draining and Filling

Transaxle Draining and Filling
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid.





3. NOTE: Use a new gasket on the drain plug.

Install the drain plug.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground and apply the parking brake.





6. If necessary, disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector.





7. If necessary, remove the bolt and the VSS.





8. Place a funnel into the VSS hole.





9. Fill the transaxle with gear oil through the VSS opening until the full level on the VSS is reached as shown.





10. Install the VSS and the bolt.





11. Connect the VSS electrical connector.
