ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit a weak horn chirp confirmation when the key fob is used, or an inoperative horn when the engine is not running. This may be due to excessive voltage drop in the horn relay circuit that resulted when the circuit was lengthened on 2001 and 2002 vehicles.
ACTION
Verify condition. Decrease the circuit resistance by shortening the horn relay circuit and using a larger gauge wire. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
