Shock Absorber and Spring Assembly

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.





2. Remove and discard the nuts.





3. Remove the nut and the stabilizer bar link.
^ Discard the nut.





4. Remove the nut and the bolt.
^ Discard the nut.





5. Remove the bolt, flag nut and the shock absorber and spring as an assembly.
^ Discard the flag nut.





6. Using a suitable spring compressor, compress the spring until the tension is released from the shock absorber.





7. While holding the flats of the washer, remove the nut.
^ Remove the shock absorber.
^ Discard the nut.





8. Remove the washer, bushing and the upper mount.





9. Remove the insulator.





10. Remove the dust shield.
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
