WARRANTY GUIDE UPDATE AFFECTED VEHICLES

All 2001 model year Explorer and Mountaineer vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine, built at Louisville and St. Louis Assembly Plants from beginning of production to the end of production.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Obtain a copy of the Warranty Guide Update.

2. Locate the vehicle Warranty Guide (located in the glove compartment).

3. Place a copy of the Warranty Guide update in the Warranty Guide between pages 18 & 19.

PLEASE NOTE:
This procedure is for dealer stock units only. Owners of vehicles previously delivered will receive a copy of the Warranty Guide Update with their notification letter.
