ENGINE GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS

Cylinder Heads

Note: Only the LH cylinder head is equipped with spark plug wire brackets.

Install the cylinder head on the head gasket and loosely install the new bolts.





Tighten the bolts in three steps.
- Step 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
- Step 2: Tighten to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
- Step 3: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.

Exhaust Manifolds





Note: When installing these bolts, run down each bolt half-way prior to final tightening.

Position the exhaust manifold and install the eight bolts. Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft.lb).





Upper Intake Manifold





Lower Intake Manifold
Position the lower intake manifold and start the bolts.
Tighten the lower intake manifold in two steps.
- Step 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
- Step 2: Tighten to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
