Attachment III - Technical Information

AFFECTED VEHICLES:
CERTAIN 1991-2001 EXPLORER, 1997-2001 MOUNTAINEER AND 2001
EXPLORER SPORT TRAC AND EXPLORER 2-DOOR VEHICLES.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Open the driver's door and clean the area of the door below the certification label using isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag. Remove any non-permanent labels such as oil change labels, if necessary. If any other permanent label is in this location, clean an area large enough to allow for full adhesion of the label to the painted door surface as close to the certification label as possible.

2. Allow the area to dry.





3. Peel the backing off the new supplemental certification label and install it per the illustration.
