Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

CAUTION: The fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector must be disconnected before lowering the fuel tank. Failure to do so can cause damage to the fuel tank pressure sensor or the fuel tank.







1. Press down and rotate the fuel tank pressure sensor counterclockwise and remove it from the fuel tank.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Carry out the Leak Test. Evaporative Emission System Leak Test
^ Carry out the Evaporative Emission Repair verification Drive Cycle. Evaporative Emission Repair Verification Drive Cycle

CAUTION: Directly center the fuel tank pressure sensor above the grommet and apply downward pressure before turning it clockwise. Failure to do so can cause damage to the fuel tank pressure sensor, the grommet or the fuel tank.
