Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Customers have reported success using the following spark plug wire placement on the coil pack."






REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine cover.







2. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connections.
^ Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
^ Disconnect the radio ignition interference capacitor connector.







3. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.

CAUTION: The spark plug wires must be connected to the correct ignition coil terminal.







4. Remove the bolts, then remove the ignition coil.
5. Inspect the ignition coil for carbon tracks or damage.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
