1. NOTE: The IMRC valve will reset itself when the vehicle is started.

Reaching behind the left side of the engine, manually open the IMRC valve by grasping the left IMRC actuation rod and pulling it toward the driver side of the vehicle.

2. Using your right hand, reach behind the left side of the engine and locate the left side set screw.

3. WARNING: USE LATEX GLOVES TO AVOID DIRECT SKIN CONTACT WITH THE THREADLOCK AGENT. IF THREADLOCK AGENT DOES COME INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH EXPOSED SKIN, THOROUGHLY WASH THE AFFECTED AREA WITH SOAP AND WATER. PLEASE REFER TO THE PRODUCT LABEL FOR ADDITIONAL HEALTH WARNINGS.

NOTE:
Do not cut the bottle of threadlock agent open, puncture the top of the bottle. If the bottle is cut open the hose will not fit onto the tip.





Attach an approximately 46-51cm (18-20 in.) length of rubber hose to the tip of the supplied bottle of threadlock agent. You may use either washer fluid hose (part number D3PZ-17543-B) or an equivalent hose with an inside diameter of 1.6-3.2 mm (1/16-1/8 in.). Attach the other end of the hose to the inside of the middle finger of your right hand with a rubber band. See Figure 4.

4. Locate the left side set screw, with your gloved hand, and apply enough of the threadlock agent to completely cover the IMRC set screw.





5. Remove the hose and bottle assembly from your hand. Using a mirror and flashlight, verify that the threadlock agent has been applied to the set screw. See Figure 5.

6. Raise the vehicle on a hoist and remove the right front wheel/tire assembly.

7. Remove the right front wheel well splash shield.

8. Reaching behind the right side of the engine, locate the right side set screw.

9. WARNING: USE LATEX GLOVES TO AVOID DIRECT SKIN CONTACT WITH THE THREADLOCK AGENT. IF THREADLOCK AGENT DOES COME INTO DIRECT CONTACT WITH EXPOSED SKIN, THOROUGHLY WASH THE AFFECTED AREA WITH SOAP AND WATER. PLEASE REFER TO THE PRODUCT LABEL FOR ADDITIONAL HEALTH WARNINGS.

Attach the hose and bottle assembly to your left hand, then reach behind the right side of the engine and apply enough of the threadlock agent to completely cover the IMRC set screw.

10. Using a mirror and flashlight, verify that the threadlock agent has been applied to the set screw.

11. Install the wheel well splash shield. Tighten the screws to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).

12. Position the wheel/tire assembly and install the lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts to 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).

13. Close the hood.

14. Allow the threadlock agent to cure for 30 minutes before starting the vehicle.
