Headliner: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

CAUTION: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).

1. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
2. Remove the sun visors.
3. If equipped, remove the roof console.







4. Remove the lamp lens.
- Use a thin-bladed tool to carefully remove the dome lamp lens.







5. Remove the lamp from the headliner.
- Use a thin-bladed tool to carefully remove the dome lamp.
- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the lamp from the vehicle.







6. Remove the lamp lens.
- Use a thin-bladed tool to carefully remove the dome lamp lens.







7. Remove the cargo lamp from the headliner.
- Use a thin-bladed tool to carefully remove the lamp from the headliner.
- Lower the lamp, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the lamp from the vehicle.

8. If equipped, remove the gimp around the moonroof opening.
9. Remove the right and left A-pillar trim panels.
10. Lower the right and left B-pillar upper trim panels.
11. Lower the right and left C-pillar trim panels.
12. Remove the rear auxiliary A/C controls.
13. Lower the right and left D-pillar trim panels.







14. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors.

NOTE: The left quarter trim panel must be pulled loose at the bottom of the quarter glass for this step.







15. Disconnect all of the electrical connectors.







16. Remove the rear headliner pushpin.







17. Remove the garment hanger.
- Open the garment hanger access cover.
- Insert a screwdriver into the garment hanger slot and turn to release the clip.
- Remove the hanger.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the garment hanger retainer, use a small screwdriver for this step.







18. Lower the headliner, then disconnect the sun visor wiring from the headliner.







19. Remove the headliner air duct.
20. Remove the headliner from the rear of the vehicle.

NOTE: Seats must be folded down for this step.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
