Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Partially drain cooling system.
2. Remove the intake manifold.
3. Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connectors.
4. Release the fuel charging wiring harness from the clips on the bulkhead.
5. Disconnect transmission control wiring harness pushpins from fuel charging wiring harness.
6. Disconnect the right side fuel injector electrical connectors.
7. Disconnect the left side fuel injector electrical connectors.
8. Disconnect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor and the ignition coil electrical connectors.
9. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
10. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
11. Disconnect the generator wiring.
12. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
13. Remove the generator mounting bracket.
14. Remove the wiring anchors.
15. Raise and support the vehicle.
16. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
17. Disconnect the RH and the LH Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connectors.
18. Lower the vehicle.
19. Remove the fuel charging wiring harness retainers.
20. Remove the fuel charging wiring harness from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
