With Auxiliary Climate Control

REMOVAL

NOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.







3. Disconnect the high pressure cutoff switch.







4. Remove the nut and disconnect the compressor manifold and tube assembly from the condenser core.
- Discard the O-ring seal.







5. Detach the compressor manifold and tube assembly from the radiator fan shroud.







6. Disconnect the front auxiliary outlet line spring lock coupling from the underbody auxiliary outlet line.
- Discard the O-ring seals.







7. Disconnect the spring lock coupling and remove the front auxiliary outlet line.
- Discard the O-ring seals.

8. Raise the vehicle.







9. Disconnect the compressor manifold and tube assembly from the A/C compressor.
1 Loosen the bolt.
2 Disconnect the compressor manifold and tube assembly.

NOTE: The A/C manifold and tube assembly bolt can be accessed through the opening in the RH front wheel well.







10. Discard the A/C compressor O-ring seals.
11. Lower the vehicle.







12. Remove the compressor manifold and tube assembly.
1 Remove the nut.
2 Disconnect the manifold and tube assembly.
3 Remove the compressor manifold and tube assembly.
- Discard the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new compressor manifold and tube assembly is to be installed, lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil or equivalent.
- Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil or equivalent.

2. Evacuate, leak test, and charge the refrigerant system.
