Wrench, Fuel Tank Lock Ring:

SPECIAL TOLL(S)

REMOVAL

WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE, CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL-RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

1. Remove the fuel tank.







2. Remove the fuel hoses from the fuel pump.
3. Clean the area around the fuel pump locking ring.







4. Using the special tool, remove the fuel pump locking ring and remove the fuel pump assembly.

CAUTION: The fuel pump assembly must be handled carefully to avoid damage to the float arm and the filter.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
