Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

Left side sensor
1. Raise and support the vehicle.

Right side sensor
2. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.







3. Position aside the right front fender splash shield.

Both sensors







4. Using the special tool, remove the HO2S.

NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the HO2S with lock lubricant to assist in removal.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
