- a V-block with six cylinders and splayed crankpins.
- a distributorless ignition system.
- a multiport, Sequential Fuel Injection (SFI) system.
- overhead valves.
- hydraulic valve tappets for automatic lash adjustment.
- connecting rod parting faces that are unique with an interference fit.
