Front Fender: Service and Repair

FENDER

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the front bumper cover.
2. Remove the front fender splash shields.







3. Remove the front bumper cover bracket bolts and the bracket.







4. Remove the front fender bolt to the radiator grille opening panel.







5. CAUTION: If the incorrect bolt is installed in this location it may damage the door.

Through the fender opening, remove the front fender bolt.







6. Through the door opening, remove the front fender bolt.







7. Remove the front rocker moulding pin-type retainers.







8. Position the front rocker moulding aside.







9. Remove the lower front fender bolts.







10. NOTE: Support the hood using a suitable prop rod.

Disengage the lower hood assist strut.







11. Remove the front fender.
1 Remove the hood assist strut ball stud.
2 Remove the front fender to the radiator grille opening bolt.
3 Remove the front fender bolts.

12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
