System Description

The hood consists of the following components:
^ hood latch striker
^ hood latch
^ hood latch release handle and cable

The front door consists of the following components:
^ front door latch push button rod
^ exterior door handle
^ front door latch
^ door lock control switch
^ interior door handle
^ door lock actuator (if equipped)
^ door lock cylinder
^ door ajar switch

The front door actuator is part of the front door latch assembly.

The sliding door consists of the following components:
^ sliding door latch push button rod
^ push button rod remote control
^ exterior door handle
^ sliding door latch
^ interior door handle
^ door lock actuator (if equipped)
^ door lock cylinder
^ door ajar switch

The liftgate consists of the following components:
^ liftgate latch actuator
^ liftgate lock cylinder
^ liftgate window glass
^ liftgate window glass ajar switch
^ liftgate window glass latch
^ liftgate latch remote control
^ liftgate latches
^ liftgate release handle
^ liftgate door ajar switches

The keyless entry system components consist of the following components:
^ Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module
^ three button remote keyless entry transmitter (non-power sliding door vehicles)
^ four button remote keyless entry transmitter (single RH power sliding door vehicles)
^ five button remote keyless entry transmitter (dual power sliding door vehicles)
^ Front Electronic Module (FEM)
^ Rear Electronic Module (REM)
^ keyless entry keypad

Child Safety Lock
The child safety lock system is operated by manually moving the lever up to lock and down to unlock. The child safety lock system prevents the sliding door from being opened from the interior of the vehicle, regardless of the position of the door latch control rod knob.

Lock Cylinder Service
Individual lock cylinders are serviced by discarding the inoperative lock cylinder and building a new lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.

Striker Plates
^ The front door striker plate is not adjustable.

^ The liftgate striker is adjustable.
