ISSUE
Some vehicles may exhibit the Air Bag Warning Lamp illuminated with the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), code B2290 (Occupant Classification Sensor circuit fault). This DTC may indicate an error with the Occupant Classification Sensor system (OCS). This may be caused by loose/not mated connections under the passenger seat, the connector to Restraints Control Module (RCM), trapped wires between the connectors, or no power or ground at the under seat green connector. This may also be caused by a non-functioning OCS or RCM.

ACTION
Follow normal diagnostic per the latest Workshop Manual per Section 501-20B Pinpoint Test "G". First check OCS related connections and power supply.

If necessary replace the OCS with a new OCS Service Kit or replace RCM. Follow the Service Procedure below.
