Without Auxiliary Climate Control
REMOVALAll vehicles
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Disconnect the A/C cycling switch connector.
3. Disconnect the evaporator core outlet tube.
^ Discard the O-ring seal.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the fitting and the tube, use a backup wrench when removing the suction accumulator/drier.
Diesel vehicles
4. Remove the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and bracket assembly (if equipped).
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Disconnect the clamp and disconnect the vacuum line.
3 Remove the nuts and the MAP sensor and bracket assembly.
5. Loosen the clamps and remove the intercooler tube (if equipped).
6. Disconnect the heater hose coupling from the underbody auxiliary heater lines.
All vehicles
7. Disconnect the manifold and tube assembly.
^ Discard the O-ring seal.
8. Detach the evaporator inlet from the clip.
9. Remove the suction accumulator/drier bolts and remove the suction accumulator/drier.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil.
^ Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG Oil.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the fitting and tube, use a backup wrench when installing the suction accumulator.
