Attachment III - Technical Information

OVERVIEW

This program involves removing the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label located on the underside leading edge of the hood. Do not remove the Engine Emission Control Information (EEC I) label from the valve cover.

LABEL REMOVAL





1. Open the hood and locate the VECI label on the underside leading edge of the hood. See Figure 1.

NOTE:
Once the VECI label has been removed, the "stop-sale" can be lifted from the vehicle.

2. Remove the VECI label.

CAUTION:
Do not remove the EECI label from the valve cover.

3. Using Motorcraft brake parts cleaner (F6AZ-2C410-AB) or equivalent, clean all label remnants from the vehicle.
