Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes- Manual Transmission

Removal and Installation
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the bolts and the skid plate (4x4 only).





3. Remove bolts and the air deflector.
4. Use a tube cutter to cut the fluid cooler tube(s) at the fluid cooler tube bracket.








5. Disconnect, and remove each fluid cooler tube, as necessary.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Fill the transmission with Motorcraft MERCON V Multi-Purpose (ATF) Transmission Fluid XT-5-QM or equivalent meeting MERCON V specifications.
^ Check for leaks.
