Special Tool(s)

1. Remove the components in the order indicated.

2. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

Items 7 - 8: Connecting Rod and Piston Disassembly Note





1. Using the special tool, press the piston pin out of the connecting rod and piston assembly.





2. NOTE: Clean and inspect the connecting rod and piston.

Remove the connecting rod from the piston.

Items 8 - 7: Connecting Rod and Piston Assembly Note





1. Lubricate the piston pin and piston pin bore with clean engine oil.





2. NOTE: The connecting rod must be installed into the piston with identification markings toward the front.

Position the connecting rod in the piston.





3. Using the special tool, press the piston pin into the piston and rod assembly.
