General Module: Service Precautions

CAUTION:
- Prior to removal of the generic electronic module (GEM) or vehicle security module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.
- Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download module configuration information from the appropriate diagnostic tool into the new module.
