POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE REPROGRAMMING

AFFECTED VEHICLES:
CERTAIN 2003 F-150 MODELS EQUIPPED WITH A 4.6L ENGINE

SERVICE PROCEDURE





1. Using WDS or equivalent, reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration listed in the table.

NOTE:
If the PCM is already programmed to the latest level calibration per the chart, reprogramming is not necessary.





2. Obtain and prepare an Authorized Modification Label. Write the modification completed, your P&A code, date of repair and the program type and number as shown in Figure 1.

3. Apply the label to a clean area adjacent to the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label, then cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
