Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair




REMOVAL
1. Remove the battery and the battery tray.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and Repair, Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure,







3. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator line spring lock coupling from the A/C evaporator core.
^ Discard the O-ring seals.







4. Disconnect the condenser lower fitting.
^ Discard the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Use a backup wrench to hold the line during disconnection to prevent damage to the condenser to evaporator line.







5. Remove the line bracket nut.







6. Remove the suction accumulator bracket clamp bolt.







7. Remove the condenser to evaporator line.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil.
^ Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of dean PAG oil.

2. Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and Repair, Evacuation and Charging,
