Water Pump: Service and Repair

Water Pump - (3.0L)

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Service and Repair
2. Drain the cooling system. Service and Repair
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. Service and Repair
4. Remove the fan blade and the fan shroud. Fan Shroud





5. Disconnect the water bypass tube.
6. Remove the accessory drive belt. Service and Repair





7. Remove the bolts and the water pump pulley.





8. Remove the bolts from the A/C compressor mounting bracket.





9. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.





10. Remove the bolts and position the bracket and compressor aside.





11. Remove the bolts and remove the water pump.





12. Clean the sealing surfaces.

Installation





1. Install the water pump.





2. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.





3. Install the A/C compressor.





4. Install the water pump pulley.
5. Install the accessory drive belt.





6. Connect the heater hose.





7. Connect the lower radiator hose.
8. Install the fan blade and fan shroud.
9. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
10. Connect the battery ground cable.
11. Fill the cooling system. Coolant
