TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS

Cylinder Head







Note: The "V" notch in the head gasket faces the front of the engine.

- Install new cylinder head gasket.

- Install the cylinder heads.






- Install the bolts.

- Tighten the bolts in five stages in the sequence shown.
1 Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
2 Loosen the bolts one full turn.
3 Tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
4 Tighten the bolts 90°.
5 Tighten the bolts an additional 90°.







Upper Intake Manifold
Tighten fasteners in sequence to 10 Nm (89 in.lb).





Lower Intake Manifold
Tighten fasteners in sequence to 29 Nm (21 ft.lb).





LH Exhaust Manifold
Install the exhaust manifold bolts and nuts.
- Tighten the nuts and the bolts in sequence in two stages:
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).





RH Exhaust Manifold
Install the bolts and the nuts.
- Tighten in the sequence shown in two stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
