REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) MODULE

REMOVAL
1. Remove the hardtop if installed and lower the convertible top.







2. Detach the protective top cover pushpins.







3. Gently pull the two corners of the protective cover away from the top brace until the two fasteners on each side are disengaged and position the cover aside.
4. Raise the convertible top.

5. CAUTION: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the appropriate diagnostic equipment. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.
Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

6. Position the water shield aside.

7. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Item 3: Remote Key Entry (RKE) Module Installation Note
1. Once the RKE module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new module. Refer to Module Configuration.
