B1342 - ECU DefectiveClear and document the DTCs. Carry out the Instrument Cluster Self-Test. Install a new instrument cluster if the same DTC is retrieved again.
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DEALER TEST MODE
To enter the Instrument Cluster Dealer Test Mode, press and hold the instrument cluster trip odometer/reset button and then turn the key to the RUN position and then continue pressing the trip odometer/reset button until test is displayed in the odometer. The trip odometer/reset button must be released within three seconds of the odometer displaying tESt to begin the dealer test mode. Press the trip odometer/reset button to advance through the following steps until dtc is displayed. Pressing the trip odometer/reset button will display any continuous DTCs stored before proceeding to the next step.

Turn the key to the OFF position or press and hold the trip odometer/reset button for 3 or more seconds and release to exit Instrument Cluster Dealer Test Mode. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics. Instrument Cluster
