Fuel Tank Temperature Sensor (CNG): Service and Repair

FUEL TANK TEMPERATURE SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Carry out the Pressure Relief - Fuel Tube Venting procedure.
3. Disconnect the battery ground cable







4. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the fuel tank temperature sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. NOTE:
- When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to learn the strategy.
- Install a new fuel tank temperature sensor O-ring seal.
- Lubricate the fuel tank temperature sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
