Low Pressure Fuel Lines
LOW-PRESSURE FUEL LINESSpring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool:
SPECIAL TOOL(S)
REMOVAL
1. Carry out the Pressure Relief - Fuel Tube Venting Procedure.
2. Disconnect the low-pressure fuel tube and the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.
1 Pinch off the coolant hoses 76 mm (3 inches) from the fuel pressure regulator.
2 Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.
3 Disconnect the low-pressure fuel tube from the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Remove the fuel tube clamp bolt.
4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator coolant hoses.
5. Remove the fuel tube tether clamp.
6. Using the special tool, disconnect the fuel supply tube from the fuel injection supply manifold.
7. Remove and discard the two fuel tube O-rings.
INSTALLATION
1. NOTE:
- Replace the fuel tube O-ring seals.
- Lubricate the fuel tube O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation.
- When tightening the fuel tubes, a torque wrench adapter must be used with the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
