Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

FUEL INJECTORS

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel injection supply manifold.







2. Grasp the fuel injector body and pull up while twisting gently to remove the fuel injector.

INSTALLATION







1. NOTE:
- Replace O-ring seals.
- Lubricate the O-ring seals with 5W30 engine oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G or equivalent prior to installation to help seal and ease the installation.

Install the fuel injectors using a light, twisting, downward motion.

2. Install the fuel injection supply manifold.
