Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
FUEL RAIL PRESSURE (FRP) SENSORREMOVAL
All engines
1. Release the fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
4.6L and 5.4L engines
3. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor electrical connector and the vacuum hose.
4. Remove the bolts and the FRP sensor.
6.8L engines
5. Disconnect the FRP sensor electrical connector and the vacuum hose.
6. Remove the bolts and the FRP sensor.
INSTALLATION
All engines
1. NOTE:
- Before installing the FRP sensor, inspect and lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
- Hand-tighten both bolts before tightening to specification.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
