Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.







2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) tube bracket bolts







3. Remove the bolts and position the EGR aside.







4. Position the EGR tube assembly aside.
1 Remove the bolt.
2 Remove the nut, remove the stud and position the EGR tube assembly aside.







5. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remove the bolt.
3 Remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
