Vented

REAR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS - VENTED

REMOVAL
1. Fully open the rear quarter window glass.
2. Remove the third row seat.
3. Remove the spare tire and the spare tire support pad.







4. Remove the C-pillar and D-pillar trim panels.







5. Position the quarter trim panel aside.







6. Disconnect the vent window actuating arm from the motor shaft.







7. Remove the fastener and the A/C duct.







8. CAUTION: Use care not to damage the headliner when accessing the upper fasteners.

Remove the 14 fasteners at the top, bottom and rear.







9. CAUTION: Have an assistant hold the vent glass as it is removed.

Remove the rear quarter window vent glass.
1 Remove the five fasteners.

2 NOTE: The rubber seal will be removed with the vent glass.

Using care not to damage the seal, gently push the vent glass outward.







10. Remove excess butyl sealant from the pinch weld.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply an 8 mm (5/16-in) bead of butyl meeting Ford specification WSB-M2G234-C to the pinchweld area.
- Loosely install all the fasteners before tightening to final torque.
