REAR SEAT CUSHION - 20 PERCENT, SECOND ROW

DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Mountaineer seat is shown, Explorer is similar.

1. Remove the second row, 20 percent seat.

2. Disassemble the parts in the order listed in the illustration and table.

Item 7: Rear Seat 20 Percent Upper Latch Bolts Disassembly Note







1. Remove the release handle cable.
1 Pinch to release the retainer clip.
2 Remove the cable end hook from the retaining hole.
3 Position the cable to the side.

2. Release the seat backrest J-clip. Remove all the staples and lift the material to expose the backrest nut and bolts.

Item 9: Seat Cushion Trim Cover Disassembly Note

1. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip, or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat cushion foam pad.

Separate the hook and loop fasteners.

ASSEMBLY
1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
