Special Tool(s)





Material

1. With the transmission in the NEUTRAL position, raise and support vehicle.





2. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the above illustration and table.




To remove individual parts, only carry out the listed steps.

Item 1: Rear Output Shaft Flange Nut Removal Note
1. Remove the rear drive shaft.





2. Index-mark the rear output shaft flange to the rear output shaft.





3. Using the special tool to hold the rear output shaft flanges remove the nut.





Item 4: Rear Output Shaft Oil Seal Removal Note
1. Using the special tool, remove the rear output shaft oil seal.





Item 4: Rear Output Shaft Oil Seal Installation Note
1. Use the special tool to install the rear output shaft oil seal.





Item 1: Rear Output Shaft Flange Nut Installation Note
1. Using the special tool to hold the rear output shaft flange, install the nut.
2. Install the rear drive shaft.
