Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.












4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustrations and tables.

Item 1: Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt Removal Note
1. Loosen the air conditioning compressor bolts enough to slide the compressor down 25 mm (1 in.), to allow access to the CKP sensor.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure
