PINPOINT TEST AP: THE BELT MINDER FEATURE DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Test AP1-AP3:

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster sounds the belt minder warning chime every 30 seconds for a duration of 6 seconds. This feature continually reminds the driver that the driver and/or passenger seatbelts are unbuckled by sounding a chime, and illuminating the seatbelt warning lamp in the instrument cluster once the vehicle speed has exceeded 5 km/h (3 mph), and the safety belt remains unbuckled.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1083 (LB/BK) open or shorted to ground
- safety belt switch
- restraint control module (RCM)
- instrument cluster
