Normal Operation
For dimmable backlighting, when the headlamp switch is placed in the ON position, battery power is supplied to the instrument panel dimmer switch through circuit 14 (BN). The instrument panel dimmer switch then sends a variable voltage to the backlighting control system through circuit 19 (LB/RD). The ground signal is supplied to the backlighting control system through circuit 57 (BK).

For non-dimmable backlighting, when the ignition switch is placed in the RUN/START position, power is supplied to the illumination sources from the delayed accessory relay through circuits 400 (LB/BK) and 54 (LG/YE).

- message center switch
- park aid disable switch

- power window switches (if equipped)
- power door lock switches (if equipped)
- power sliding backlite window switch (if equipped)
