Lubricate
    Wheel Bearing
      Lubricate 4x2 wheel bearings or 4x4 hub needle bearings (under trailer towing or off-road conditions, as required). Install new wheel bearing grease seals (under commercial use, as required)
    Control Arm
      If using Special Operating Conditions I. Refer to Special Operating Conditions (Read This First). Lube front lower control arm and steering linkage ball joints with zerk fittings, if equipped.
Inspect
    Wheels
      Inspect wheels for end play and noise.
    Vehicle
      Perform Multi-Point Inspection (Recommended by Ford) Refer to Routine Service.
    Universal Joint, Drive/Propeller Shaft
      If equipped, inspect and lubricate 4x4 front axle shaft U-joints
    Steering and Suspension
      Inspect steering linkage and suspension. Inspect steering linkage, suspension and, if equipped, driveshaft and ball joints. If equipped, inspect and lubricate 4x2 ball joints and steering idler arms.
    Heat Shield, Exhaust
    Exhaust System
       Inspect exhaust system and heat shields.
    Drive/Propeller Shaft
      If equipped.
    Cooling System
      Inspect cooling system and hoses.
    Brakes and Traction Control
      Inspect brake pads,shoes, brake discs, drums, brake lines and hoses.
    Ball Joint
Replace
    Oil Filter, Engine
      Replace oil filter only if NOT using Special Operating Conditions T, I or D. Replace oil filter under all operating conditions.
    Fuel Filter
      Replace fuel filter. All Operating Conditions.
    Fluid Filter - A/T
      All Operating Conditions
    Fluid Filter - A/T
      If equipped, change the external transmission fluid filter and in-line service installed transmission fuild filter.
    Fluid - Differential
      Replace differential fluid (front and/or rear where applicable)
    Fluid - A/T
      Operating Conditions I, D and O only.
    Fluid - A/T
      All Operating Conditions
    Fluid - A/T
    Engine Oil
      Replace engine oil for all Special Operating Conditions. Replace oil only if NOT using Special Operating Conditions T, I or D.
    Air Filter Element
Rotate
    Tires
      Inspect tires for wear.
